Relevant prior board/committee/volunteer experience:
I began as vice president many years ago, then served as president for a term or two. I served as past president for a year and a half, then returned to the presidency when that president stepped down. I was voted president by general consensus seven years ago and have overseen a few committees since. I currently serve as an active, elected Director on the board. I’ve been involved in numerous projects for the betterment of Suburban Estates, including leading the effort against the proposed highway through the middle of the community.

About 30 years.

How long have you been a SEPA member?
Roughly 15-20 years.

How long have you served on the board?
I’ve served continuously as an officer, and I’m currently an active Director, voted in by the membership.

About yourself (100-200 words):
I’m outgoing, and I believe what sets me apart from others who’ve run for this position is that I don’t treat Suburban Estates as a source of income. I don’t buy or sell land here, and I don’t do anything for profit. Everything I’ve done for this community has come from genuinely loving the land and the people. I’m fortunate to be generally retired, which lets me stay accessible — anyone who has ever tried to reach me can confirm I always answer the phone and work toward a solution.
